Tips: The Vacuum Carburizing furnace is typically used in conjunction with Vacuum quenching furnace.

This process generally involves several steps:

- Carburizing: In the Vacuum Carburizing Furnace, materials are heated to high temperatures and carburized over a period of time in a carbon atmosphere. Carbon atoms diffuse into the material surface, forming a hardened layer with high carbon content.

- Cooling and intermediate processing: After carburizing, materials may undergo slow cooling or specific intermediate treatments to ensure uniformity of the carburized layer and overall material performance.

- Quenching: Following carburizing, materials are typically immediately transferred to a vacuum quenching furnace for rapid cooling. Quenching increases material hardness and strength. Vacuum gas quenching or oil quenching furnaces may be used, depending on material requirements and application scenarios.

- Tempering: Materials may undergo tempering after quenching to relieve residual stresses, adjust hardness and toughness, and achieve desired mechanical properties.

This comprehensive heat treatment process combines the advantages of carburizing and quenching, significantly enhancing material surface hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue strength, while maintaining core toughness and strength. Therefore, the Vacuum carburizing furnace and Vacuum quenching furnaces are often used together in the manufacturing of high-strength, high-wear parts such as gears, bearings, camshafts, and other critical mechanical components.
